So, I was thinking, when you get the game disk, all the files are loaded from the disk.
Why don't they just have every file on their backend, so that hacking is literally impossible? If no files are saved on a disk nor on your hard drive, there are no files to mod, meaning it would be impossible - players just read those files from Infinity Ward's servers.
The player doesn't download the files, just reads them every time they start the game. Yes, downloading them would take ages, and would also allow you to mod them, so why doesn't Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games make a system whereby no files are accessible to the player - it's all server sided.
This would also make it a lot quicker to update the game and issue patches, as all they have to do it edit the files on their side, and the next time you go on the game, you will automatically read all the new files.

too much money, not a good business choice, and not possible with today's internet and hardware or at least for just the average person! And besides you can just capture the packets containing the game if your really smart or the easier way set up a command to capture the game somewhat like a dev does and then just dump the memory, I seen it done with a jtag now so it would be pointless they just dump it while connected to live XD
