So, I was just playing around with seeds and decided to put in my adress, and something amazing popped up. Notch was talking about the new, very rare canyons in the map. Well in this map, it is literally within 30 seconds of the spawn, and I figured most people probably haven't played on one yet. Since I haven't seen a town yet, I figured I'd post this so people could see a canyon for their first time.

Features:
Very Large Canyon Near the Spawn.
Very good spawn, lots of caves, trees, and animals.
Spawns in the new swamp biom.
3 Monster spawners in the massive mine -- 2 Poisonous spiders, and 1 zombie.
Largest Mine Shaft I have ever seen, wooden supports everywhere!
Confirmed diamond in the mine, I have seen it.

So everything you need is in the first picture, just follow the coords till you find it. It is an amazing map, that I will most likely play as my single player seed. Enjoy!

Its called a ravine. And that massive mine is an abandoned mine shaft. Every map has em, you just gotta find em ;) This map just happened to have them near the spawn.

If I am not mistaken, a ravine is a river or some kind. I believe this looks more like a canyon to me, but that's just my grade 9 geography speaking LMAO!

ravine = canyon... anyway, all maps are like that, you could say any of the maps are amazing cus of those things tbh :/

I would like to see images can you not use gyazo it doesnt show the image.
