well i should have my retail copy on the 19th maybe so I'll check it then on a new gt just need the beta to do this.

Hey Rtards if you kept up you would know a few things. The reason the guy who DLed the retail version ran the game before Title Update 1 was released. This title update checks the beta saves and checks your achievements for the unlocks. You are screwed because you ran the game before TU1. Which if rumors are true you cant unlock veteran gear unlocks. So all we can do is wait and see when the game comes out. the mod seems pretty solid theory wise.

i agree! I'm glad im getting this game the 2nd day it comes out.. half of my friends know a place to get it a week or a couple days earlier.. i'm not gonna risk it though. lol

Would it be possible for someone to create a video tutorial on how to get both the actual Gears 3 beta and the beta save file onto your Xbox 360 hard drive through a USB drive? Keep in mind that I never played during the actual beta so I need to get it onto my Xbox through other means. I have followed the instructions that I read in this topic but no matter what I do my Xbox simply does not recognize any of the files on my USB drive. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Yea all we can do is wait and see if this works on the retail version when TU1 is out on release day. as for needing the whole beta you dont need the entire beta. Use Horizon and change the ids. Horizon will make the folders you need to put the save in. i tested this way and i have a "Gears of War 3 Beta" folder on my HDD. only thing missing is the picture when i look at it in the memory folder. but that shouldn't effect anything.
