Do one of the following: hi kyle thanks for the reply. my make is a hp compac persario CQ61 windows 7 1 os on it as far as i know it says i need a cd for the repair put the guy in the shop said the partition he said its saying you need cd cause of the overheating any ideas ?

Try and either restore or recover. Whats the exact error if there is one?

i click repair and it says use a disc but that dosnt work what happens if i downlaoded a repair disc thing and burn it to a cd and use it that way ? i hope that would work

It will. Just burn it on a disc and boot from that CD. It should work fine.
