C'mon, really? Odds are the person you hand it to doesn't think like you and will keep it regardless so why not just keep it? Or maybe you would just feel bad? I can understand that.. I wouldn't spend it but would maybe walk around asking people to prove if it's their's? Hmm, but if they lost $1000 it's probably in a wallet so I guess you would find a way to contact them. I'll stop contradicting myself now.

Either way, it's not mine so i have no right to keep it. Also yeah, some form of I.D would most likely be inside the wallet. If someone takes 1,000 dollars off the floor and keeps it, Karma will eventually come back and bite you in the ass.
