That is correct. I actually put the beta on my hard drive, ran it, exited out and then put the beta save file on there and the folder still has no image. I don't think it will matter because other games I own have had unusual/incorrect pictures before on the hard drive and everything still worked perfectly.

I have just put the Beta on my HDD, and the PlayerStorage file in there. Ran the RETAIL Copy of GoW3 and the unlocks are not there. If I have done something wrong, please tell me.

This does work and i Haven't even tested it. I Know it will work.
The beta unlocks Are given to you through the servers after recognizing what content you've unlocked on the save. So Unless You have online On your G*y-tag, Which only Eaton etc have.
I Wouldn't post false information.
So yes, this does work everyone, anyone else to question this will be personally fish-slapped, so just enjoy the Download.

Yea all we can do is wait and see if this works on the retail version when TU1 is out on release day. as for needing the whole beta you dont need the entire beta. Use Horizon and change the ids. Horizon will make the folders you need to put the save in. i tested this way and i have a "Gears of War 3 Beta" folder on my HDD. only thing missing is the picture when i look at it in the memory folder. but that shouldn't effect anything.

yeah, i did it right then! no gears 3 picture is shown... uugh i cant wait! i really hope this works! i got someones save that has the Flame camos! woohoo! ;D

Do i need the beta save (500mb) so the game save works? cause i downloaded a beta save somewhere else on this forums and it shows up at Gow 2 beta save 64kb with RAYDAR987

why do you need the beta downloaded?
