Hey guys of the Music General, I'm here to provide you a nice little post about why I prefer the Old Age rap over the New Age rap 8)
Old Age rap pretty much consists of Wu-Tang, Notorious B.I.G. , Tupac, Beastie Boys(They're OLD SKOOL), etc.
New Age rap consists of artists such as Rick Ross, Drake, Mac Miller, Lil Wayne, Lil B, etc.
Old age rap is way better in my opinion because it actually took skill to make raps then. Nowadays it's all about cussing, including your d**k, and all about money and girls in your raps. What is that? I'm tired of hearing crap like that! :idontwanttoliveonthisplanetanymore:
Any thoughts of my opinion? Post them here!
vs I'm not gonna lie, i do like listening to "John", but not as much as Wu-Tang.
vs
Wth is this? Biggie all the way!
(Staff, sorry if I'm breaking the rules by posting songs that involve various swears )
I'm thinking about doing a series of posts similar to this, post some suggestions on some ideas for me to do!

Well, I personally cannot choose between the two. I like both old and new rap.
I grew up listening to some old and some new, so i grew to appreciate both. I agree with you that the old rap was about better subjects, etc. but i also like new rap as well.
Just like you said, i personally have Big, snoop, dre, etc. on my ipod, but i also have lil wayne, drake, etc.
They are both good in their own way, and yes the oldskool rap will be missed and forever remembered.. but its pointless for people to argue/debate over which is better. That was better back then, and this is considered the "new age" of rap. So, we just have to accept it. Plain and simple, if you don't like it don't listen.

I agree with you entirely, I listen to both. But the subjects in the "New Age" rap is over used since about 2007. Throughout the 90's all the music subjects were pretty much entirely different..

Old age rap all the way..
I love Pac, he's my favorite of all time and even his new mixtape albums coming out are just awesome, Eminem is also great and he would be considered old-new age rap.
