Ok so I want to start by saying I axually have done a lot of research into Jtags and the axual Jtag process but the soldering and all just looks way to complicated for me so I have a few questions here. Please dont spam/flame me Im not the best technical guy but I want to Jtag and host lobbies so Im trying to learn.

Ok a few questions I have:

1) What is the best type of Jtag to get. I have heard theres 4 ( Jasper, Falcon, Xenon, and Zepher? ) Im wondering whats the difference between them and pros cons of each?

2) When I axually purchase a Jtag from someone on here such as Kodeman ( he seems very trusted ) what are the steps I should take to set up my Jtag once I recieve it? Is the setup different depending on what type of Jtag I purchase?

3) Are there any required items I will need to purchase to Jtag? ( I see some people selling power bricks and other stuff like that )

4) Where can I buy Kv's and how do I unban my Jtag once I have a Kv? Also I've heard that the type of Kv is specific to the type of Ktag I have?

5) Who do you reccomend I buy my Jtag from? Who do you reccomend I buy my Kv's from? Any experiences with either of these people?

Ok well thats all I can think of at the moment. Sorry for all these questions but Im really trying to learn this stuff so I can start hosting lobbies and what not.

Feel free to add additional information you want to add to help me out.

Thanks in advance I will be checking this thread regularily.

1) For the xenon its easier to find kvs for it because they are older but very good for going online and doing lobbies and crap. ( i recommend xenon)

2)Im preety sure its the same as ur normal xbox. Lol just the programs inside it are different and u can do so much shit with it. XD

3)Just go to Kodeman and say ur gonna pay for example: banned xenon, all cables, and HDD. Then ull get what u need.

4) Just ask what type of KVs u need from the person that sells u it. Unbanning is really complicated so u wanna look some tuts on that.

5) I recommond kodeman for jtag. Yes i purchased my jtag from him and its getting shipped today.Dark, for shared kvs. He is obviously legit since he is a moderator on TTG. No i havent purchased anything from Dark.

Hope i helped!!

ok if you want a jtag that will last a while then get a jasper.. yes it will be harder to find kv's for it but it will last alot longer. zyphers- never get one, xenon yes they are easier to find kv's for but they get rrod alot faster and alot more often, falcon, alot better than a xenon but alot harder to find a kv but with one of these you wont have to worry about rrod as often, so i would recommend a jasper or a falcon if you are looking for a nice jtag or one that will last a while and a xenon if you are looking to get your money back plus some more

2)If you get a Xenon i would suggest you consider gettign a 12v fan mod and then leaving the actual casing off of it and if you get a jasper you wont really have to worry about that but still a 12v fan mod is nice and as for a falcon i would consider a 12v fan mod and also leaving the casing off of it. and as for the hdd the only program you really will need is XeXMenu.

3)you really just need a power brick i would suggest getting a 203W powerbrick no matter what jtag it is and you will absolutely have to have A/V cables, you can use an hdmi cable if you have a jasper or falcon but you will still need A/V cables to boot into Xell

4)download flash360 and follow these steps
1. Place the Flash360.xex and Media Folder on the Root of a USB drive (root means not in any folders, just in the very "root" of the USB)
2. Install that USB drive into the back of your XBOX and then turn it on
3. Launch XEXLoader/XEXMenu found in your Game Demos
4. Browse the directory for the Flash360.xex file that is on your USB drive
5. Launch Flash360.xex
1. Make a copy of your Xbr image with Flash360 using the "X" button on screen
1. Open the Donor (Unbanned) Nand file in 360 Flash Tools
2. At the Top, select the "Keys Tab"
3. Enter in the Unbanned CPU Key
4. Before moving on, Make sure to Select Both the 1BL Box And the CPU Box
5. Re-Open that unbanned Nand file and all of it's information should now be showing
6. Select "Extract" and then "Extract KeyVault"
7. Save it to your Desktop
8. Flash Tools will have saved it as KV_dec.bin (this is your decrypted, Unbanned KV file)
1. Remember that flashdmp.bin file you copied from Flash360 before, that is your BANNED XBR image that is going to be patched with the unbanned KV (so open that now)
2. Click the "Keys Tab" and enter in the CPU key of your banned console and make sure to check the CPU box as well as the 1BL box
3. Re-open that XBR image and all of your info will be there (take note of the DVD-Key and the OSIG DVD-drive type as you will need it for patching the KV)
4. Now you want to select "Import" and then select "KeyVault"
5. Browse for the KV_dec.bin file that you put on your desktop from the UnBanned Nand
6. Save that newly imported XBR image as Edit01.bin
1. Open Edit01.bin and select "Patch" and then select "KeyVault"
2. MAKE SURE YOU CHANGE the DVD-Key to your banned console's DVD-Key and well as the Drive-type to your own.
3. Save that patched XBR file as updflash.bin
1. Put that file (updflash.bin) on a USB drive and put it into your xbox (make sure Flash360.xex is still on that USB drive also)
2. Turn on your Xbox and Launch XEXLoader/XEXMenu from your Game Demos
3. Browse the Directory for the Flash360.xex and Launch it
4. Select the "A" button to Re-Flash your XBR Image
5. Select the "B" button to Flash the XBR image while using a Different KV
6. Select the "Start" button to allow a mismatch to occur
7. Select the "A" button to continue on with the Flash
8. Select the "Back" button to acknowledge the Flash has completed
9. Select the "Back" button to exit the update menu

5)I would suggest buying your jtag from Kodeman and as for a kv those are going to be tough to find a consistant kv seller around but my suggestion would be to just look around for one and eventually someone will be selling one
