Story

Crime boss Charles Jericho smuggler, murderer and the man John Tanner has been chasing across the world is on the loose. He escaped justice following a well-planned jailbreak that also left Tanner suffering a brutal car crash.

With Jericho on the loose, Tanner and his partner Tobias Jones engage in a frantic manhunt across San Francisco. Jericho clearly has a plan, but what is it? Tanner must track down the most dangerous man hes ever faced, because the stakes have never been higher

Before standing Trial, Jericho holds a secret meeting with high-profile inmate Rufus Russel. A mysterious plot is formed and a price tag set at thirty million dollars.

Detective John Tanner watches Jericho like a hawk as he leave court in a prison truck. He arrested Jericho and has been on his case for years, theres a bitter history between the two. Tanner hates Jericho, and is convinced that hell attempt to escape.. Hes right.

Gameplay

Driver San Francisco is different from every racing/driving game youve played , through out the story John Tanner is in a coma, while your character is in the coma he as the ability to "shift" allowing him to transfer into any car at any time.
Of course drving around the entire city of SF looking for one car would be boring, so driver gives you the opportunity to buy cars and garages with the games currency "willpower". One way to earn willpower is by buying garages, by buying the garages you will earn automatic willpower every 20 minutes. (making it easy to get money by just leaving your xbox on ) You can also earn willpower while driving from drifting, jumps, and other driving stunts. As for the cars in the game, they range from dune buggies, muscle cars, sport cars, exotics, and the "average" car. (140+ licensed cars)

Driving through the detailed city of San Francisco, youll find movie tokens. Finding these tokens will allow you to play these challenges that are based off movies such as Bullit, Gone in 60 Seconds, and Dukes of Hazards. There are also 20 other challenges that the game offers you, both of these allow you to compete on the leader boards with friends and the world.

The game also has activities and dares which require you to do certain things to unlock specific cars, abilites etc

Graphics

The graphics for this game are beautiful and run at a smooth 60 frames per second. The games cockpit view is one of the best ive seen, for each car the cockpit view is different from one another and looks the just like the real car.
With the graphics being beautiful, there are drawbacks. For example, the game has no night time driving, or major weather changes.

Controls/Car handle

The controls are very similar to any other racing game, as for the car handling, the game encourages the handbrake. The handling at first is hard to get to but once you get use to the drifting/handbrake it becomes like a 6th sense. Unlike NFS, the car moves around more and in my opinion feels more realistic.

Online

With the shift feature, it gives online multiplayer endless possibilities. The best example is the gametype called tag, the goal of the game is to get the tag and hold it for 100 seconds. With a full lobby the game can get crazy with everyone grabbing cars around you. ( [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] )
Driver also offers something uncommon to racing games which is team based games. There are team based games ranging from capture the flag, takedown ( a getaway car and everyone else is a cop) and blitz. (one team defends a base while the other defends the base)

If shift isnt your style then theres also classic raceway and classic race.

Driver also includes a free roam in case you want to just drive around with your friends (also offered in singleplayer)

Film Director

Film Director is very similar to the file share for halo/Black ops, you can make mini-movies with film director and it goes up to 5 minutes long per video. There are no restrictions to how many videos you are allowed to make. (videos are uploaded to ubisoft website)

My Rating: 9/10
Average rating for driver from websites: 8/10 or 4/5

This game was okay, but it was kind of stupid in most parts of the game, I don't know it just doesn't really have a good story line.
