Alright, I literally stayed up until 2am last night trying to find out how I can change my Xbox LIVE account into an adult account. I can't access any of the M-rated material because I'm not old enough. When I first registered for Xbox LIVE over a year ago I entered my real age when I was 14 at the time. I'm still not 18, but most of my friends who are under 18 are able to do stuff that I'm not able to just because they lied about their age. I heard that you can make a new Windows Live ID with a different age and link it to your gamertag. I did just that and nothing has changed and there is no 'Promote Child Account' option in 'Account Management' as Microsoft says.

Please help!!!

On the 360 dashboard, go to the My Xbox tab.

Go to your account and click Manage Account. Scroll down to Windows Live ID and click it. There should be an option that says "Promote child account".

You will then be asked to input the adult's account password. After that, the child account will now have access to M-rated content.

Edit: That is only when you turn 18. I forgot.

To have access to M-rated content when your account is still not 18 years old, use the adult's Live ID that is tied to the child account and allow those features.

The problem is that the 'Promote Child Account' option isn't available anywhere.

Enough with the comments... I'm not going to wait another few years until I'm 18 so I can access M-rated stuff. You should be able to access M-rated content at 17. Anyways, there are plenty of people who lied about their age and are able to do things I can't do. It's just not fair!

I never thought about that. I'll try it and hopefully it will work.
