You may very well be correct, but from what I've seen, college guys "dig" pink.

I'm planning on making a few other designs. I just liked the way this one turned out so I figured I post it for any further suggestions.

Probably the best thing about the "Static" design is you incorporated drop shadow, which makes it stand out more, would maybe switch the pink to a lighter blue.
