Hi,

Would installing and recording FRAPS to an SSD reduce lag anyhow? As I heard FRAPS lags because it hogs HDD read and write rate.

Yes, but the FRAP's files are pretty big. Recording it to a dedicated 7200rpm HDD WD Black would be more than fine. I'd just use the SSD for the boot drive.

Ah OK, I got a spare 7200RPM 80GB IDE, would that be OK to record off? Just making sure, because ive finished my PC build and want to upload to my youtube channel etc.

IDE drives are quite slower speeds. I'd opt for a 1tb Samung F3. It's actually on sale for $49.99 @ Newegg. Test your recordings off of the one drive you have now - If it's that bad, buy a spare.
