1) I asked a question a few days ago about on disc security, and was told to launch games from the freedash thingie. But when I go to the free dash thingie, my games aren't there. I can find my games in xex menu (where I ripped most of them) but not the freedash thingie. How do I access my games from the free dash thingie?
2) I ripped my old copy of San Andreas to the jtag, but it tells me I can't play it b/c it's an old Xbox game, however this game is playable on my retail. What up with that?
3) Is there any place on the nets to find jtag games? I know there's that place with isos, but the whole point of me buying a jtag was to run my games off my hard drive, so I don't want to burn stuff.

1. You need to set game paths in FSD to allow it to view the games. Settings-Content Settings-Manage Game Paths. Select where your games are located, and bump the "scan depth" to around 5 (or higher if you wish)...your games should now show up.
2. Honestly have never put any original Xbox 1 titles on my JTAG...it could need to be ripped to a specific folder w/in the box. I'm sure Google would have the answer...sorry I do not.
3. There are plenty of sites where you can download JTAG game rips with the appropriate folders...I'm sure the one you've looked at has a section dedicated for it...its right below the DVD Game Download section (I believe you know what site I am speaking of). You can also download any iso and then extract the files to load directly onto your box. Even if you can't find a JTAG rip, you can just extract the files from any iso.
Good luck.

If your games show up in XeXMenu then I would just boot them from there because they are easier to modify and the files are more accessible. I would imagine your games don't show up in freestyle dash because you have not copied the games to it.

I am not sure why this is happening but I can take a guess. I would imagine that because your jtag has an older dashboard version it wouldn't support some games for the original xbox.

Yes, you can find the files for games from various sites such as [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] or you can find them here on the tech game.
