I have turtle beaches and they're really just surround sound so is it bad to have surround sound when you watch a movie and your neighbor doesn't have surround?

Its for the kids who take it to the next level.
The ones who will go def in a year from turning the sound
all the way up just to hear you across the map.
It kills it for me honestly.
