I always try to defend the people with low post counts when this happens. Its not fair to them. We were all there one day, and we learn all about the site. So give those people a chance to get to know the site. If they make a useless post, or if they spam a little bit then politely tell them they are abusing the rules, and provide a link to the rules for them to read. We need the senior members to help out the new members, not flame them for being new!

This is 100 percent true.
Also because of this, some newer members believe post/rep means trust and fame here. So if they ask a question they believe the person higher on the post/rep line. Especially people asking to be gifted gold if they give the gold user 5.67 for gold. They let the highest post/rep gold member do it. When they really have no true trust in them. This post/rep thing does need to stop.

look at NAME REMOVED,
his post count is outstanding.
But he spammed for the majority of his time on TTG.
Also, i think it's rep that matters. (while it is ONLY a number), it represents your reliability as a member.
Anyone can have 100 posts, and 4 rep, 200 posts and 8 rep, etc...
