There is one thing that is in all Call of Duty games from Classic (1) - Modern Warfare 3 (They cannot change this about the engine or it will not function, unless they did a 100% Engine recode, which by the looks of it...It will be closer to Modern Warfare 2) There are a few patches that you can do and after Modern Warfare 3 gets released I will post a patcher for every Call of Duty in 1 just for "quick modding" purposes.
