You're looking at one site. Sadly people preorder games from more then one site. So one you find the statistics of sites like best buy, walmart, gamestop, eb games, target, all those, your information based off one site doesnt mean much.

Sorry, but im only defending some one that is right. The only sites that you mentioned are Amazon/TTG. And off you Amazon you showed the most worthless statistics (gifted/Wish) Rather than what is important, sales.

And the TTG article had information from a whole bunch of sites intead of just amazon.

A new survey reveals that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is the most-wanted game this Holiday season. No, really? Nielsens survey polled 5000 gamers between August 21 and September 17, and aggregated data from a staggering 417,433,251 online conversations. That's a lot of fuss and expense to prove what the rest of us could have told em for nothing Modern Warfare 3 is the top of everyones wishlist. Yours too, even if you havent realised it yet. In quantitative terms, though, Activisions wartime shooter wins out big-time, taking a 27% share of votes on Nielsens countdown. This only applies to Hardcore gamers. In COD both Hardcore and Noobs can get an easily good amount of kills but for BF its very hard to adjust too especially for people who haven't played it.

I don't think BF3 will be the game of the year, it surely needs work to be done if it wants to compete COD, the graphics far over succeed COD but if you want sales you got to make core gamers feel like killing a person is very easy and I'm 100% positive those 1.4 Million people who preorder 650k will be dissapointed / frustrated how Multiplayer works and give it back to the game shop to get money back, I mean they already losing big Pre-orders every single day.

MW3 has more sales than BF3 now.... MW3 has more sales than BF3 in December and that will rise highly in November when they realize the game is not their style.

Are you sure? I remember there being a lot of TV Commercials and such about Black Ops, they even created a Damn Jeep for the Game, I mean, really?,really? Was that even necessary.

GTA V will probable sell more than all of them because people who never play video games will buy it...but for us "hardcore" console gamers, Halo sells the most per console...and before anyone brings up Nintendo game sales...Super Mario Bros was BUNDLED and barely sold any individual copies comparatively, Wii Sports is the same story, plus Wii games are cheaper and attract poorer gamers(I'm sort of poor but have a 360)

Before COD 4, halo 2 was im pretty sure the most played game on live for a long ass time. People were buying xboxes just to play it. People werent really excited for black ops and WaW, i mean they were excited to some extent because it was a COD game but not nearly as much as MW2, and Halo 3.
