Someone on the EA forums posted this yesterday.

You used a javascript to edit that. Notice the date, 30th of September, however if you check BF's twitter, there's nothing like that tweet on the 30th of September. Also, notice that it says "Retweeted by UspexRoma and 81 others". If you check UspexRoma's twitter, he's retweeted a bunch of BF's tweets, however none of them look like that tweet.

No it was legit, I've seen this as well. Battlefield deleted this a day later..

ya dice doesnt care and honestly its better for REAL BF PLAYERS because we dont have to deal with ppl who are new to the series that suck alot

Not only did the WaW beta fix some issues, it also without doubt increased game sales. Most people werent even going to buy it because it went back to World War 2, but after the beta they changed their mind.

Know why CLiffy B didnt have a beta for GOW2? Because it takes away from sales.

Games that have demos or betas instead of just trailers seem to take a hit in sales. I think if the demo/beta is anything short of amazing it may work against the game.

Know why MW2, Black Ops, and MW3 dont have a beta? Because people may not like it, and it will affect their sells. Know why BF3 has one? Because it needs publicity.

People like why me will tell you its not about the money..but hes ignorant. Its about the money and everyone knows that. And saying "Atleast the fans think our game is better" wont make up for the fact acitivision is going to be making a WHOLE bunch more money then EA.

For once DeadlyDasher, i some what agree with you, the only thing i disagree on, is that it made me buy this game even more, but your other facts, i got to say are true. Always about money.

Yep, i know a good amount of people who erent going to buy it that changed their mind after playing the beta. But a know an even bigger sum that cancelled their preorders.
