Player Mode
Player mode allows you to take control of your virtual pro , you start at any team and work your way up from a nobody to the legend of football.

Player Ranks

Reserve Player - This is the worst rank for a club , you play for the reserve team. To get a better rank you need to play about 5-10 matches and become man of the match most in of them.

Squad Member - You play games but not all the time this is a bad rank but you need to show your self as a good player to be a starting 11 player

Starting XI Player - You will play every game unless you are injured , suspended or exhausted. To get to the next rank you need to play about 20-30 matches and consistently hit 8+ in your rating. Man of the match will improve this

Key Player - You are seen as they key player and without you there would be no club :p . You will play every game and they will try and push you into playing even if you aren't fully fit. In my opinion it is easier to get this up than as a starting 11.

Captain - You are the captain which means you get access to the squad and you are the leader on the field.

End of season

When the end of the season comes you will be offered at a diversity of clubs , if you did well in the previous season then your club will offer you the position again with a higher wage as they want you to stay but other clubs will offer. The lower the league of the club mostly gives you are lower wage but also a better rank. When I completed a season a Bradford city I was offered at several league 2 clubs all as captain , key player at a league 1 club and starting 11 at premiership sides.

Improving your player

To get your player better you need to complete the virtual pro accomplishments , these are found on player mode menu , in game menu or the arena menu. Depending on what type of player you are such as if you are a forward you will need to work on the shooting accomplishments not defending as they wont help you much.

Increasing your value

If you go to my career on the player mode menu you can see how much you are worth. You get your value up by increasing your overall and getting man of the match. I am unsure if this is anything but once my club got to 1st in the premiership I went from $9,500,000 to $14,500,000 unsure if this is coincidence or the way you get value increase.

Manager Mode

Manager mode let's you manage a team to victory , you may pick any team that is on fifa.

Deadline day

This is a new feature and is amazing. Deadline day is 31st August and last for 10 hours , each time you advance it skips an hour. You can buy and sell players but you must be able to get the right offer to buy a player. Read below on buying and selling.

Buying and Selling

Buying on fifa 12 is much like real life. First you find your player on the transfer list then send an offer. There is a recommended offer that you should be offer but I suggest if you have enough money and want the player go 5-10 % above that , as they decline it if it isn't high.

Once they accept , if they don't you need to send more money unless they say you are a rival club or they don't have anyone to fill the space. You need to then decide on a contract for the player. Again go above the recommended and you should do a 5% bonus and a 2-4 year contract , unless you want a short 1 year.

Then you have to wait for them to accept the contract , if they accept all you need to do is sign them. You must have the correct amount of money to purchase them and enough wage budget. Then they will be put in your squad.

Selling a player is simple enough , you go to transfer list and find the players you want to sell. Either choose to sell , short or long loan. Loan is a simple so we will only be doing selling. Once he is on the market you just have to wait for someone to send an offer , you can decline an offer or accept one. A trick I have is decline the first one and they will offer more on the second. You can be risky and decline the second and try for a third but this might not happen and they pull out.

When you have accepted a offer , wait for your player to accept the contract , no input needed. If he does then he will be moved to that club and you will receive the money.

Scouting

This is a great new addition to fifa , you must first hire a scout then send him to a country for a duration of time. You can also choose what you want him to search for.

When I scouted I sent him to Brazil for 3 months , he came back with a 14 year old with 60 overall so I put him on the youth squad and will keep him until he is 16 and eligible to play. You can call anyone older than 16 from the youth squad to the first squad.
