I was looking at pre-ordering mw3 but it says it will ship on 11/08/2011. Doesnt that mean i would get it a few days after it came out? I want the game 1 minute after it hits the store shelving

No, its same then Amazon theyll send it on the 5th then youll get it on 7th or 8th.

I would pre-order at gamestop and go to the midnight relaeas if you want it faster.

pre order from amazon get 10$ for pre ordering and 5$ dollar credit for ordering a new game towards ur next purchase also it shows up a little bit earlier than it releases @ game stop.

Pre-order because they can hold a copy for you and you wont have to wait if they run out
