Ok so whenever I play CoD4 System link or Gears 3 System Link my jtag freezes?

There is no patch or anything and the only way to fix it is to turn off the xbox. Please Help?

does it freeze on the dash or when playing other games? it could be the gpu going out or it could be a bad image of the game.
