my buddy said he'd share his season pass with me..if i did license transfer would it take it from him or would we both have it?

Both of you will have it.
2-3 weeks ago i did this with a buddy of mine.
I purchase the season pass, i have the liquid metal skin set.
When he license transferred the stuff now he has the liquid metal set.
So far we dont know if all you need is the liquid metal set so that you may download the DLC when they come out.
So we will find out.

I wouldn't do the transfer Microsoft is starting to ban for this. Do it at your own risk!

The licences from whatever you buy are in two places, the profile that originally downloaded it, and the xbox that the profile is licence transferred to. So for the above case, he'll be able to download and use the DLC when it comes out, and his friend will be able to download and use it as long as the profile that originally bought the season is still licenced to his friend's xbox.

Bro, stop scaring people with the ban thing.
Yes theres a chance of you getting banned if you let 10+ friends license transfer from your account.
That's when they are gonna suspect "Marketplace Theft".
But if its just with one buddy nothing is gonna happen.

Exactly.
within 2 people you wont get banned..
if your friend shares it with more than 5+ people in one year then youll get banned.
just tell him to share it with you and no one else and your safe!
