This may not necessarily be the right section, but I was wondering if someone could help me. Recently when I have been entering my text in Photoshop CS5, it's been coming out choppy and weird looking like this:

When it should actually look like this:

Can anyone help/give any suggestions? I'll rep. Thanks :3

It's 36 pt text on a 200x100 canvas, don't think size is the issue :L

Are you sure you're not zoomed in or out?
Photoshop doesn't like it, make sure you're zoom is set to Actual Pixels.
Otherwise, it's your anti aliasing which is messed up so check your dpi etc. I have to get back to you on how to change your AA settings.

Alright, Out of curiosity I zoomed in on the text, and this is what it looks like. Really weird...

And yeah I'm set to actual pixels.

That has to be a font issue?
Change the font's between a few is it doing that on all of them?

on the top right where you are able to choose a font, right next to the sizes drop down

you should see another drop down with aa. select sharp and it should fix your problem

This happened to me a couple days ago, click on text button, before you start typing go to section above the canvas and change the option from strong or whatever is there to SHARP and restart the program and it should be good.
