As tragic as this story is, it is ultimately the adults fault for allowing a gun in the house where the kids can get to it. Although, from the way the news report has it, the boy acted like he knew what he was doing. If a kid threatens there siblings with a gun then they know exactly what they are doing. I think he should get sentenced the max for a kid that age.
All the blame can't really be put on him, it's the adults fault for raising the kid that way. A kid should learn responsibility before handling a gun.
