That does not excuse the fact that they sound terrible, especially for what you pay. For a similar price, you can get MUCH better.
Other headphones have warranties, too, by the way.
They are definitely not terrible. yeah they are over priced but they still are a high quality headphone. its just like the Ipad its not the best tablet but it is a great tablet.
Considering the Beats retail for $300 and the Audio-Technica ATH-M50 retails for $150 (very widely available under 100 bucks, though), they are not. The M50s outdo the Beats in many ways. Sound quality, build quality, features, weight, no batteries, etc. It's just ridiculous. You wouldn't buy a $30,000 car that performs like a $15,000 car. At least, I hope you wouldn't.
Ahhh tablets. Inherently useless. a $500 toy is not worth it, any way you put it. Unless you have some sort of legitimate reason, tablets are useless for the time being. They should also be priced much cheaper, like the Kindle Fire. That is the only one that has caught my eye. The Android tablets are much more attractive than the iPad, but they are still not good purchases.
The point i was making with the tablet is that People buy the name apple. If u look at the specs of everytablet then the Android tablets outweigh the ipad but the ipad still dominates 90% of the industry. Just like the beats by dre u can not like em u can say they are terrible but they still continue to dominate the industry.
I'm not saying more popular = better. Oh, and I know my specs. And I've noticed that in general, people never buy the better product.
Oh yeah i totally agree with you. Most times people say buy em because they can say ay i got some beats by dre.

Kills me. I only care though when they try to say theirs are better than mine. I have Audio Technica M50s, Grado SR80is, Aiaiai TMA-1s, Klipsch Image S4s, and Koss Portapros. Portapros are 25 bucks and outdo the Solos. S4s outdo the iBeats/Tours. M50s compete with the Pros, as do the SR80is and TMA-1s. It's just ridiculous. People actually try them and immediately regret the Beats. I think it's a matter of exposure. I don't see BB selling Beyerdynamic headphones.

Yeah its all about exposure i think that more headphones should be advertised in bestbuy like the beats. Because if you get to hear the beats in bestbuy and havnt heard another good quality headphone before then your automatically are gonna think that they are the best but if they were to put some of the lesser knowns beside them i think they might sell a little less

Comment string too long.
Exactly. I've found that people are totally willing to buy other headphones that I recommend and all it takes is a bit of guidance.

Ahh... Under 100.
Legendary for rock music: Grado SR80i
Neutral, well balanced, about the best for what you pay: Audio Technica ATH-M50
Comfy, open, moddable without much effort to be 595s: Sennheiser HD 555
For fantastic bass and very fun sound: Sony XB 700 or XB 500. The 500 has more bass, but the 700 has better overall quality.

If you're willing to wait, you could hold out for the XB1000s. They're currently only available imported from Japan and are therefore very expensive, but sometime soon they should be released here. I'm not sure exactly when, but they will be. They are also a bit more expensive, but I've heard great things.

They'll probably be a lot more expensive than the others in the XB series, though. I also don't know how long it will be.
