Hey guys... I don't mean dummies really btw... (This is long and detailed so anyone can understand and do it )

I saw one of these from ages ago but it didn't really do it in the best way... So since I was bored I thought I'd do one of these since a friend asked me how, so lets get started

Step 1: Obtaining gun render
You need to find a render of the gun you wish to put a camo on... There are lots of ways to find one - Here is TTG_SaaaM's set: Forums/viewtopic/t=218245.html

Intervention here for example... [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Now you can probably see that it has a slight drop shadow, you need to remove this to add a camo.

Step 2: Remove the shadow
to do this you need to choose the Magic Eraser Tool by holding down the rubber icon and selecting it.

Before you do anything, change the tolerance to 1, and uncheck the anti-alias + Contiguos boxes.

Then simply click on the shadow of the gun somewhere and it should remove it from the majority of it without erasing any of the actual gun. To check if it has fully been removed, add a stroke to the gun and see if any parts have massive spots where the shouldn't be. Then simply turn off stroke and erase on the parts where you saw them. You should eventually get a clean edge like this.

Step 3: Creating the pattern
Now to add the camo the easiest thing to do is create a pattern of the camo. First open up the camo.png, then go to

Select > All

Edit > Define Pattern

Save it as it comes up or put Fall camo or something ^^ It should now be added to your pattern list

Step 4: Adding camo to the gun
the most important step in the process, go back to your fully rendered gun, and double click the layer it is on to open the FX menu.

Click the Pattern Overlay box, click the drop arrow next to the pattern that is currently shown and find your Camo.

Change the blend mode to Color Dodge so that it is added to the gun rather than shown over it, I find this the best looking blend (You can mess around with brightness and such if you really want).

Step 5: Finishing Touches
I suggest you add a 1px stroke just to make it stand out more, and change the scale of the pattern till the camo looks right.

This should be the finished result

Hope this helps Please thank the topic if it does, rep is appreciated but not necessary. If I made a mistake or something tell me xD

EDIT: If you want it REALLY exact to be a replica... Duplicate the layer of the gun and remove the pattern.

Move this layer to the top, and erase the parts that should have camo but leave the rest (I.e scope/ clip) Or whatever so the unerased parts are the plain gun.
