maybe some people dont want to waste so much money on buy ms points just to get decent players tbh ea r just rippin people off

The point is, that you KNOWINGLY took something to which you KNEW you were not entitled. You have no defence. In EA's eyes, it's theft, plain and simple.

Technically not correct, to imply it is taken means that nobody else could have it, that is not true.
While this is definitely wrong, it's more fraud of a very unusual method. Mainly because you are using a code you purchased & are entitled to use to give you FREE packs. But only once & for one account. They are using a loophole in the system which should have been patched or at least caught within their QA procedures internally. Or they should have tied the code to the User ID.
It's perverting the system for personal gain, but I think calling it theft is probably not correct, it's fraud or deception.
Either way it's still not right.
