I'm already apologizing in advance in case if this is a really stupid question, but does anybody know what the season pass does exactly? Does it give you the first four DLC packs for free?

It's basically a pre-order of the DLC. Meaning you paid full price already and when their released you just download them.

Yes, if your planning on playing Gears 3 for awhile and are planning to purchase the DLC then the Season Pass is for you.
It's 33% cheaper than actually buying all 4 DLC when they come out.
Plus the Liquid Metal Skin is sexy!
