Hello TTG. If you're an avid reader like me, and hate that some of your favorite authors may be located in a different country, I have a solution for you.

Step 1. If you're reading this, you probably already know that you can't by Kindle books in your country from another country. For example, you can't download Kindle Books from Amazon.co.uk to an American Address. If you try, you will get this message:

There is a very easy way to fix this. Under that messages there will be another message that looks like this:

[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Click on the "Manage Your Kindle" link.

Step 2. You will be brought to this page:

Now, click on the "Country Settings" link that is Bolded in Orange on the Left side of the page.

Step 3. Now once you are here:

Click "Change"

Now you are here:

[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

For all intents and purposes of this tutorial, you have just moved from your current country to another country. Now, you must enter an address from that country. This may be difficult to find at first. I had trouble finding a valid UK address, but if you try this site:

you may have more success. If it is UK address you need, just use the one I used:

(I recommend using your actual phone number and name, but that's just me. They're not really needed)

Step 4. Once you have done that can clicked "Update", you will get a message on your screen that says this:

Click the first link in that message.

Step 5. Once you do that, you will be prompted to transfer your Kindle account to the Amazon site relating to the country you wanted:

Click on the big orange link that says "Transfer your Kindle account to xxx"

Now you're done! Enjoy shopping for Kindle book as you usually would. Always remember that if you ever want to change your country back to the original country, you can. Just go back to Step 3 and click on "Change" and select another address you had already from the drop-down bar or enter a new address.
