First off, don't rant and blah about laptops not being desktops, and so on.
In this particular model, an AMD Phenom II Dual Core processor is clocked at 2.6 GHz, but I've seen it go to 3.0 in other laptops that were smaller than mine.
So, has anyone played around with theirs? I figure that 2.8 GHz would be safe, but I was curious about 3.0.
Of course, this is all assuming my processor has a good die and can be stably overclocked, etc.

It could probably be stable at that but you really need to pay attention to cooling, if the laptop has a half assed heat sink and not enough fans that could be catastrophic if left at the clock for too long

You probably could get it to 3.0 but it more than likely won't be very stable. May I ask why you are overclocking it? If it's not necessary don't do it.
