Hello everyone, I have done a few recent upgrades on my Dell Inspiron Mini 10v (1011) netbook. The last upgrade I would like to do is replace the old
Western Digital Blue Scorpio 160GB HDD
with a
SAMSUNG 470 Series 64GB SSD

My question is: Is my netbook compatible with this SSD? In my mind, all SSDs would be compatible with most laptops. But then again, I can't be too sure.
Please help.
Thank you.

Yes, it should fit a 2.5'' drive with no compatibility issues.
Just don't go for that Samsung, it's slow ( Sata II and has slow read/writes ). The Sandforced controlled drives at this moment in time have a lot of issues. A 64 GB Crucial M4 is more reliable, faster, and all around better.

Thank you! I will follow your suggestion and purchase the Crucial SSD instead of the Samsung SSD. I appreciate your answer. Thanks again.
