Recently we revealed that the install size for the high-res texture pack on the Xbox 360 was 1.5 GB, and now we know what the PlayStation 3 size is: 2 GB, according to the official requirements printed at the back of the Battlefield 3 PS3 case.
The texture pack allows for the game to use high-resolution textures, which DICE says absolutely make a difference to the game. The HD textures are required to be installed to the hard drive, as the DVD and Blu-ray drives dont have enough bandwidth to stream high-res textures to the game.
Battlefield 3 will be released in just 3 days, on October 25

good post, i wanted to know how big the install was:)
i heard it was 22GB

haha yeah how much difference do you think they'll be in bf3's graphics PC/console?
I dent know but i played the beta like 30mins on the xbox360 and then on the pc , i didn't really see anything different in the detail and lightning.
pretty much the only thing i noticed was the framerate because im now used to 60+ FPS because i play pc now.
i don't think there will be that big of a difference
