the Gamestop where I get my games usually has pizza and Coffee and hot chocolate (for the kids) and giveaways for a free copy of the game that's coming out (i got 2 copies of Black Ops that way)
when Black Ops came out they had a copy you could play while you waited
when I got WoW: Cataclysm we had cake

depends on where you live
if you know a lot of people in that area play CoD I would get there around 9 pm
I like to get there a few hours early just so I don't have to be super bored for about an hour waiting to get into the store to pick up the game
all midnight releases I have been to I am usually 20th in line
