Klaypex is a really good underrated artist.

Yes I do believe they are overrated but, I'm still a huge fan of deadmau5.

Yes I do believe they are over rated, though a fan of both. They are the bands people say they like only because the majority of the other people who listen to music in the genre likes them. They are the Lil Wayne and Mac Miller of dubstep.

I will say Skrillex is over rated

I personally think that no musician is overrated.

You can go up to someone and ask them "have you ever heard of skrillex or deadmau5?" and they probably won't know who they are....


So no, neither of them are over rated. But here on the Internet people like to talk about them a lot considering they're popular (for a not so popular genre of music) that is somewhat popular amongst the daily Internet user (such as ourselves).



Example: deadmau5 has 4 million people that like him on facebook.... There are over 528 million people in North America alone. So .7% of north America likes Deadmau5. That's a pretty small percentage if you ask me. (I know that this doesn't accurately give a % as to how many people actually like him, I'm just showing you an example because all of you are probably on the Internet for 5+ hours a day and are in a "bubble").

Those statistics are awful. Not everyone in america has a facebook and not everyone who likes deadmau5 had liked the facebook page. Also, you said that it isn't a very popular genre of music. Dubstep is VERY popular.
