I would say I do a fair amount of reading w/o commenting, but they are usually on threads that are not tutorials. I know it takes a lot of time and effort into making a guide for others so I try my best to either thank or compliment their thread.

So by your logic, Any who simply likes to read about what someone says and if it does not relate to them at all then they should still post? If people post on every post the read then wouldn't there be someone with about 50k posts by now. Like seriously, I view a lot of posts and don't comment simply because TTG is inhabited by a bunch of kids and if I share my opinion or basically anything that someone does not like it will start a flame war which I just don't want to care about. People should post when they want to post not because they viewed something so they NEED to post.

It is annoying, but they may have clicked by mistake and had nothing to post on there.

Im sure when people who play Gears come on they may like the tutorial.
