I might get it before MW3 comes out but I hear it has a couple problems.

Yes if you want to get the upgrade from your console, but it has its downsides.
It gets hot very easily, my advice is to keep it in and open well ventilated area.

If you already have an xbox then no but if you dont you might aswel get a slim xbox

Well quite frankley Its just like adding DLC to your xbox 360 because nothing is getting taken away nore Is it a big step from ythe one you already have.
Problems are not likley but can occur on any console or Computer because thats how it is so the best bet is dont get a second hand one [of course] and getting a garantee in it helps.
The Slim Is just a few different add ons such as
Bigger hard drives and wifi and kinect surport is much easier so I would say in addition getting a new one wouldant be a bad idea. A good rating for it would be about
Add ons 8/10
Improved 6/10
Online Improvement N/A
Downloads and faster Improvement such as heatment 9/10
KINECT 10/10
