Well you probably didn't..

1.) Keep it in an open area
2.) Keep it well ventilated
3.) Keep it in one place

All of those can relate to all errors that occur (xbox related). So keep an eye out for how you treat the console. Keep all of that in mind while playing on your Jtag. Or pay the consequences (like you already have).
