You're exactly right. This xbox essentially combines a retail with a JTAG, so unless you need both it's probably not for you.

Please do not curse at me. The consloe cost 300. The wiring is not free, the solder is not free, the tweezers that are used are not free, the flashing software and chips we use are not free, the hours spent working on this are certainly not free. The controller is not free, the HDD is not free, the Cables are not free. $500 for console only.
