I got a good laugh out of this topic.
The thing is, ONE day will not effect you're entire education. And whoever said missing one day every week would cause you to miss half of your lessons, you need serious help. If there's around 35 weeks (give or take a few) in a school year, that means you're missing about 35 days out of 180. Last time I checked, 1/2 of 180 was 90. Plus, you're not missing one day every week, you're missing 1 day out of 180, plus days when you're really sick so around 3 or 4. Big deal. Honestly, people who stay home punish themselves, because that just means they'll have more homework the next day which = less time to play it the next day. People are so stupid about this subject. If you go to school that day, great, good for you. If not, that's fine, that's your decision (and your parents). People who go to school get less time on Tuesday to play because they're at school, but more time on Wednesday while kids who skipped are doing extra homework. And if those kids decide not to make up their homework, THEN they're potentially ruining their education. When you're behind on homework the entire semester, that really hurts your grades.
So technically, yes missing school that day could start a chain reaction of you being permanently behind on your homework. However, if you're responsible enough to make up the work you missed, you'll have no problems.
