If your prestige in any of the previous cods you get a maximum of 1 token for each cod. that you can use on mw3 prestige shop.

Ok so I'll try to sum it up for you...
The prestige tokens are used for the Prestige Shop (which is something you unlock after you prestige)

So when you prestige you can chose to use your token then, or save it up for later(which is a good idea for saving up for x2 XP later on). Also, if you have played CoD recently, you've probably seen/heard that if you havr prestiged in any CoD Cod4-Cod Bops then you get a token for each game you have prestiged for(no matter what prestige level, you get 1 per game). If you have done this, then the prestige shop is open for you on November 8th.
I hope this wasn't too confusing. There's a ton of stuff to explain.

well if you have prestiged on any call of duty when you get on mw3 there will be a prestige menu with stuff like double xp keep certain classes and so on and for how many times you have prestiged on any cod including mw3 you will have a token for each cod and you can spend them in the prestige menu hope i helped
