Hey guys, I have the first Droid, (you know, the slider..) and I've considered rooting it. From what I've read, rooting is sorta like jailbreaking.. right? I've jailbroke a couple of Ipods but I've never done anything to my phone. Right now my phone is on Android version 2.2.2.. and I don't know if it's something I'm doing wrong or what but it seems really slow. And no, I don't download all those free apps with animals and weird faces. Anyway, I'm just looking for some advice on rooting my phone and some of the advantages to it.
