MissKitteh wrote You did a nice job with blending. But maybe a little too good of a job, I had to look at this for like 3 minutes before I could figure out what the focal was. It is important to blend, but also not to over blend. You want the focal point to stand out from the background while also seamlessly blending into it. Right now its looking really flat. I don't see a whole lot of depth on at all. You should work on making the focal pop out more and blurring out the background. Part of the issue may be that it is very monochromatic. This tends to take away from the depth of the sig. The lighting is just kind of all over the place. You need to make your light source more clearly defined. If you're going to do a monochromatic sig like that you should try to add a lot of really dynamic, and high texture effects in the background to keep interest. Also, why does the forefront seem so foggy? It doesn't look blurred, it just likes like a fog in front. Which could work, but you would have to define it more and make it actually have the characteristics of a mist, instead of just appearing hazy in the spot. The text needs some work too. Never throw your text in a corner. Move it closer to the render and make it an extension of the focal point, use it as an effect even. I know you said that you did this really quickly, but spend a little more time on it, and it will really be quite nice. Feel free to send me a pm if you want any more suggestions or advice on stuff.

thanks mate for writing me a letter
i agree with almost everything you said and this is BY FAR not even close to my best work and mostly everyone on here knows that

im sure its not. But i'm not the kinda person that's gonna sit by and kiss someones bum ;)

I spent a large part of my gfx making career making crappy sigs caz everyone would just sit and tell me how awesome I was rather than give me proper cnc. So from learning from that experience I really do take my time to try and properly give advice when I comment on someones work. I figure if you are taking time to make the gfx and post in a gfx forum then you are looking to get better and learn more. So don't take me as being harsh, but rather honest and blunt, this isn't a beauty contest after-all. :p

I'm not gonna lie, I have no idea what is going on in this image, I can barley make out an image within it. :/
