Hi can any one help me
i want to update my iphone 3g to firmware 4.x but i am confused because when i go on itunes it says the latest update is 4.2 and when i go on jailbreak websites it says 4.2.1.Are they both the same
if you help you get ++rep

They're almost the exact same thing, and on the 3G there is no difference between 4.2 and 4.2.1. I recommend that you stay on 3.1.3 because the 3G becomes very laggy on 4.2.

Yes it is the same. I have a Iphone 3g and it told me it was updating to 4.2 and that just means 4.2.1.
