Hi can any one help me
i want to update my iphone 3g to firmware 4.x but i am confused because when i go on itunes it says the latest update is 4.2 and when i go on jailbreak websites it says 4.2.1.Are they both the same

if you help you get ++rep

They're almost the exact same thing, and on the 3G there is no difference between 4.2 and 4.2.1. I recommend that you stay on 3.1.3 because the 3G becomes very laggy on 4.2.

my iphone is allready laggy and theres loads of better stuff on 4.2

Yes it is the same. I have a Iphone 3g and it told me it was updating to 4.2 and that just means 4.2.1.

is it better than 3.1.3 and are there any problems like wifi or very laggy
