Yeap if you use the on gun throughout an entire match and say u get 3000xp during that game then the 3000xp will go towards your guns level aswell as your normal rank

I got the game yesterday at 5 pm and played until 1 a.m my gun level is 30 and the bar is 3 quarters filled.
