This game has not lived up to the hype.

I bought the game for single player and spec ops and both modes ended up being really good but the multiplayer, which is the main reason that people buy this game for, turned out to be stale, yes there are some welcome changes but it's still the exact same thing that has been put out for the past games. In every match I was only saying to myself "haven't I done this before?" and "haven't I been here before?" and as time passed and I played match after match I found myself not wanting to play anymore and I had only been playing for one hour. On the other hand I do like the new strike packages but I can't understand why IW made the decision to add this, it just seems like they needed to add something so they just split the kill-streaks up int groups. It just seems like they could have done more with it. I also did like how IW has grouped the weapon attachments, gun perks, and camo's into the same leveling with Weapon levels.

I had much fun getting with some friends online and playing the different spec-ops game types. With the let down of multiplayer this saved the game for me because IW managed to capture the fun that Treyarch has with their Zombies mode in CoD Black Ops.

The campaign was exciting and brings out the connection you have with Soap and Price that you made with the previous two games. It has it ups and its downs however. I wont be going into that due to spoilers.

It is miles better than the heap of garbage MW2 was but is defiantly not as good as MW1. Overall, I do like the game and am glad that it is much better than MW2 but was still disappointed at the sheer amount of disappointment I had. It is time for the so-called "juggernaut" to be put on the back-burner for a few years while something new is created that will change the way the game is played.

Score: 3.5/5

I would've like to give it at least a 4/5 but with the disappointment in multiplayer it was hard to give it a 3.5/5 but I think it earned that.

after reading loads of crap and having the game for over 24 hours...this rating of the game is pretty spot on i havent been playing spec ops or campaign but when i can force myself to play the multiplayer its as us said a disappointment overall the whole game was i played cod4 for about a week before mw3's release and i truly think that is the best cod ever made and probably ever to be made atleast if this is what IW has to offer... MW1>MW3>MW2

@ANGEL_FIRE

I have to agree with you there.

@Ro_RusheR_oR

All of those games are way better than MW3, but MW3 will last as do all CoD's.
