But with that 60$ you get security. Which obviously PS3 doesn't have. So I'd rather pay 60$ a year for a secured gaming experience than none for no security.
Anonymous probably could of hacked Microsoft as well... Microsoft didn't piss em off though.
Yes but it would be harder to do so. It's not the problem of Anonymous hacking PS3, nothing can protect you from that, it's the fact that Sony didn't back up there servers, because they didn't have enough money to do so. While Micro$oft has hundreds of backups because they can afford to do so because we pay them.
back ups? I never heard if anybodies accounts going down...
PSN got taken down for a while, while they did updates on security. They relied to heavily on MD5 hashing but now have a far better security system (they're words not mine). Any way I looked into this a hell of a lot because I have a PS3 and I wanted to know whether my money was safe. Turns out everything's fine in the end but Sony learned their lesson. Chances of PSN being hacked at the moment (because Sony have been hacked twice in the last year or so) is quite low and they're pretty much running around fixing problems everywhere and making everything securer.
Anyway I enjoy my free online gaming both PS3 and PC ;)

Yeah sorry lol
I love my PS3 (even though I didn't bring it to University with me haha).
Nice one for getting that though, is this an early christmas present or did you buy it yourself?
