Well I have a xenon awaiting Hitachi LT2. Its overheated before but i did 12v fan mod for now. I have a lot of fans that I pulled from PCs but the best one i have is a 140mm fan. Now when i cut the case, would the fan work best pulling air in from top or out?

Thanks

Edit: Also, what would be the best place to obtain power for the fan? Right now I have it plugged into a DC adapter, but since I did the 12v fan mod using the dvd drive's power is there somewhere inside the console I can tap in to get 12v for the fan I am adding?

Here I have cut the hole using a CD to trace and a Scroll saw to cut the hole.
The fan is still externally powered and just sitting on top.
Next is to paint the case and seal the fan.

I believe thats what caused the xbox to overheat, having it blow out.. Gonna flip fan around but what the xbox does now is i get graphical artifacts on the dashboard then it freezes even before it gets to dash.
