heyy guys, i was wandering if anyone knew what was up with my xbox?
it doesnt read the xbox 360 disks. (doesnt look like they're spinning fast enough)
i have brought a disk drive off of my friend and that doesn't work either. ( it does say samsung on the top of it so could this be a pc diskdrive or something? any ideas fellow community?

Laser may be bust or may be just dust, try opening your disk drive and blowing the insides with a hair dryer, if you know how to, dismantle your xbox and clean it. But only do that if your warranty has run out.
EDIT: You may have bought the wrong disk drive off your friend as there are differant models. So this will off messed it up, I suggest putting your old one in and taking it to microsoft for repairs or if you know someone get it fixed off them.
I didn't read the post fully, sorry ;)

To be perfectly honest I wouldn't take it to Microsoft, they will charge 100+ which is ridiculous. So take it to someone you know who is able to to fix it for you, if you need anymore help just email me contact @ hallymodz.com or pm me.

The reason your new tray won't work is you have probably not put the right DVD code in you need to get this off your old one in order for it to work!
