OSX actually has more code than Win7, and from experience I find the two to be equally "lightweight" on similarly specced systems. They both slowdown as junk gathers, as well. OSX is not nearly as great as people think it is.

I Would prefer a mac i would love to have one

If your going to be modding then get a PC, a lot of modding programs don't open on macs.

I own a mac and i personally hate Mac cause of the PC software only works with PC. I use a lot of modding programs when i has a PC. on the other hand, Mac are good cause they never slow down and don't get viruses.

Mac. Its much faster and can't get any viruses. But the mac can't download many things that a PC can.
