If its really personal, bring this up to your parents. Maybe they'll write you a note.

If your in highschool just tellem you dont feel confortable reading it out loud.. or dont put stuff you dont want your friends to hear.But if the teacher is a real dick go talk to your counselor before class

Just ask him to do it after class or at lunch if you honestly fell that uncomfortable doing it, he can't make you do it, as my msth teacher always says "I teach students not math"

Most teachers will not make he/she read aloud the class if they are shy. But unfortunately i have a strict teacher who i absolutely despise.

Yeah, I don't think he can really MAKE you read an essay if you don't want to. It should be fine, don't hide and act like you really don't wanna read yours though, then he will probably call on you. Teachers do annoying stuff like that.

Just tell him in the beginning of class Mr_______ i have wrote my essay and just say you weren't aware you had to share it with the class and you would rather not.

Your probably just gonna have to Read it.. Make sure to not stare at your feet or talk low.. if you avoid doing those you should be fine. Once you get up there its not as bad. I promise
